Sunnydale High will be one of two local bands playing the Fridays in The Asher concert series. The band is pretty stoked to be playing with our homies Redswing. The show is brought in part by Arts Cheyenne.
The Cheyenne Comic Con is going on earlier that day. Although it is unrelated, it would be rad to get a cosplay show happening. Let’s make it happen.
The 20th anniversary of Buffy means a lot to the band Sunnydale High.
So with that in mind the band opted to release our new video for “Welcome to Sunnydale.” It’s a great sneak peak at music to come.
The band is also announcing a pre-sale of the E.P. “Teenage Necromance” that will be dropping ver soon. You can sign up for that here.
The video was made by Brandon, Declan and Ayden Boger-a clan of guys who like to play with action figures and blow things up over at 5-2nd-DIOS.
We were just going to jump on the Seth McGee benefit show at 8 Bytes during the open-mic portion, but we ended up playing four songs in between bands Friday, March 4.
It was a fun experiment complete with a melodica, a shared mic and borrowed equipment. The set consisted of Come to Me (To Tara, Love Willow), #SlayDepression, Look Amazing (Spike), and Trigger.
The overall night was a great success. Seth ended up raising over $2K to go toward his ridiculous medical bills. Local celebrity and rockstar Seth was not only the man of the hour, but he also played with his new band Morimento featuring Jaisikka N on vocals and guitar.
Wynona, Static Nebulous and the Whiskey Slaps also rocked the house.
The band donated newly designed logo buttons for the show. The text less button design was made in limited run for the event.
Are you wanting to watch an episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, but you aren’t sure which one? Let the Sunnydale High help you figure it out. Seasons 1-3
Sunnydale High has a new E.P. “Teenage Necromance” that will be available in April. It was recorded and mixed at the Blasting Room by Chris Beeble in January, 2017. The recording was mastered by Jason Livermore.
The new muzaks will be available through major online retailers and at select locations.
Sunnydale High was featured in the Branding Iron. In the article, we talk about the upcoming year and the adventures along with it. We left out the parts about slaying demons and regaining the power of the world. Maybe next time.
Sunnydale High friend Juliet Landau will be at Denver Comic Con this year! For those of you who may not know, Juliet played Drusilla in Buffy/Angel.
She is an awesome actress and a wonderful story teller. She and her husband, Deverill Weekes, had a great indiegogo campaign in which she funded a cool vampire documentary. Juliet was kind enough to share a self-recorded demo by us recorded in her honor.
This will be the first time in two years that Sunnydale High will not be playing Denver Comic Con, but a couple of us will be there supporting it. Keep an eye out for us to be chillin’ with James Marsters and Juliet if possible.
Our awesome photographer friend, Jamy, took some sweet photos of our show at the Gardens on Jan. 26. We have some in our photos gallery.
Jamy is a super talented photographer out of Wyoming. She takes all kind of great photos around the state. She does killer music, portrait and rodeo photography. She is a contributor to the webzine ‘For The Love of Punk’. You may have seen her shots for the sweet Ray Rocket solo album.
Redbush has recently released their own album ‘Gaslight Lockdown.’ These dudes know how to put on a great show. Jamy did the cover art for that album as well.
Sunnydale High finally got around to putting a website together. It took some glue, it took some thread, but here it is. If you haven’t liked us on Facebook yet, give us woot-woot at www.facebook.com/sunnydalehighband.
